I would also like to note that the course is intended for a wide audience, different age groups and income levels. By this I would like to point out that if you are a very advanced marketer or a person with good financial literacy, an active businessman, then some points may seem greatly simplified to you. But I wrote down this work algorithm based on the experience of perceiving data from other companies and their owners, the promotion and management of which I have been engaged in for many years and, of course, based on my commercial experience. In addition, for several years I have been giving lectures and conducting seminars for various audiences, ranging from students and aspiring entrepreneurs to corporate managers and politicians of various stripes. As a result, I have developed these lectures so that as many people as possible can understand and apply them.
In this course of lectures, I will analyze the step-by-step stages of work for creating, upgrading or restarting a successful business project, in which the main source of clients will be the Internet and various online traffic channels.
All training is built on the system “technology – methodology – person”. I will introduce you to available technologies, tell you about the methods of working with these technologies, and you, as part of this system, namely “person”, will be able to implement or not implement these technologies.
It is clear that this course can be taken in a year/two/five years after publication, but you can relax and continue learning. Based on the trends of the last decade, most likely new technologies for attracting clients could appear, but global changes will not occur in the next five to seven years, since the portrait of the main consumer and payer on the Internet will not change, and real artificial intelligence is still far from the desired ideal, and in general, most technologies have been understood for a long time and most of them are only continuing to integrate into the Internet. In general, if everyone around you does not yet wear augmented reality glasses and does not use virtual and robotic assistants, then calmly take the training.
I think that this information is enough for the introduction. Now let’s move on to the lecture plan itself and the importance of each of them as a stage in achieving the final goal.
- Glossary. Simply put, a single term base. You and I need to agree on what words mean what exactly, and this is necessary so that we can speak the same language. And also so that you can adequately communicate with performers and be able to ask clarifying questions, and not show off with phrases like “I was told that conversion to lead = 20% is a bad result, I need better.”
- Types of websites and engines. Or where and why to bring clients. If you were opening a retail store, you would be very scrupulous about choosing a location, a display case, furniture arrangement, the presence of cash registers, the location of a warehouse, you would try to use the rented or purchased space to the maximum. And you must admit, it would be stupid to open a premium Italian furniture store in an old abandoned building, on the restoration of the facade of which you will spend more money than on building a new one. Since our task is to work with people on the Internet, you need to understand what websites consist of, what opportunities various engines, designs, templates and tools can give you. What is the difference between a landing page, a business card, a corporate site, an online store and what opportunities, limitations, pitfalls await you in the future and how to avoid them. How profitable is it to use website builders, and not buy your own. We will analyze all this. And you will finally understand many things and understand why some of the approaches you used did not work, while the most unexpected ones did.
- Automation of processes. Increasing conversions. Before launching any advertising, spending money on it, you need to connect all possible automations and services that will help increase the percentage of orders, give customers the opportunity to leave requests and orders at night, use exactly those communication channels that they need. For this, there are various SAAS systems, Pop-up menus, call-back services, chat-bots, etc. In addition, the integration of a CRM system is important to increase profits at the stage of working with a client.
- Traffic channels. Where to get clients and where to go first. Let’s consider all available models for both goods and services. From contextual advertising Google, Bing, Amazon, Google KMS, targeted advertising in social networks, integrations with merchants, other markets, use of integrations and downloads, teaser networks and media advertising.
- Market analytics. In any business, one of the important aspects is understanding the competitive environment. The beauty of working on the Internet is that you can analyze the market much more productively, understand who spends how much money, what offers they use, who works with discounts and who with dumping. This makes it possible to make a more profitable Unique Selling Proposition for your potential clients, take a larger share of the market, predict the return on investment and the phased connection of this or that advertising, depending on the degree of channel occupancy.
- Traffic analytics. Connections of tag manager, various locker studios and other services to understand the performance of a particular advertisement.
- Systematization of thoughts. Whatever your project, you need to dump all your plans, ideas, resources and thoughts somewhere. Unfortunately, our memory is designed in such a way that only geniuses can systematize large amounts of data in their heads, and I do not want to say that you are far from the status of a genius, I just want to remind you that the lectures are written for a wide audience and I give a tool for implementing the tasks of the masses. So, working on organizing thoughts in business is akin to going to a psychotherapist, it reveals problems that you did not pay attention to, makes it clear when you may need what resources, what you missed and vice versa, what you think about too much.
- Marketing planning based on EBITDA. Selecting key product groups and working with marginality. Planning the connection of certain traffic sources.
- Gantt chart. Working with time. Prioritizing goals. A successful business needs your time and actions, not wandering in the chambers of your mind. We will learn to free it, delegate and choose the right goals.
- Financial planning of the project. P&L. Yes, without planning financing and basic profit and loss, you can’t start working, we’ll do this in the last lesson!
